WATERLOO - Alice J. Reynolds, 83, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Oct. 31, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, from complications of a stroke.

She was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Black Hawk County, daughter of Lloyd and Rosa Turner Weidman. She married David William "Bill" Reynolds on Nov. 12, 1945, in Oakland, Calif.

Mrs. Reynolds graduated from Dunkerton High School, Dunkerton, in 1943. She was employed at Caterpillar in California, Rath Packing Co., Chamberlain Manufacturing Co., John Deere and later worked at National Dairy Cattle Congress. Most of her years were spent farming with her husband northeast of Waterloo. She was a member of East Janesville United Methodist Church.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Connie (Maurice) Busch of Allison; a son, Scott Reynolds of Waterloo; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three half brothers, Mike (Irene) Weidman of Denver, Sam (Mary) Weidman of Midlothian, Va., and Paul (Linda) Weidman of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: a son, Craig; a grandson; a daughter-in-law, Melody Reynolds; a son-in-law, Michael Mason Sr.; a brother, Harold Weidman; a sister, Donita Gillespie; and a half brother, Lloyd Weidman Jr.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
