CEDAR FALLS - Ruth Ethel Evelyn Skartvedt Helble, 93, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Western Home Communities Standard Assisted Living.

She was born Sept. 12, 1916, daughter of Herman and Mary Wolfe Snapp. She married Roy Skartvedt on May 30, 1935, in Eldora. He died Dec. 17, 1968. She then married Voyle Helble on Feb. 22, 1975, in Cedar Falls. He died Aug. 7, 1978.

Mrs. Helble had been employed as a nurse's aide at Country View for eight years.

Survived by: two nieces, Linda (the Rev. Larry) McKinney of Cedar Falls and Mary (Dennis) Thurm of Denver.

Preceded in death by: a son, Danny LeRoy Skartvedt; and a sister, Iris V. Spilde

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Eldora Cemetery, Eldora. Public visitation from 9:30 a.m. until services Wednesday at the funeral home.
