WATERLOO - Marlys I. Trost Albrecht, 94, of Waterloo, died Sunday, Oct. 25, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born Feb. 26, 1915, in Readlyn, daughter of William and Martha Albrecht Klemp. She married Reinhold Trost on May 29, 1932, in Readlyn. He died April 30, 1975. She then married Edwin Albrecht on Aug. 27, 1977. He died Sept. 21, 1999.

Mrs. Albrecht worked in the dietary department at Schoitz Memorial Hospital from 1952-60, at Allen Memorial Hospital from 1960-70 and then at Sartori Memorial Hospital from 1971-77.

Survived by: two sons: Kenneth (Rita) Trost and Gene (JoAnn) Trost, both of Waterloo; a daughter, Donna (Gene) Edsill of Westbrook, Minn.; a stepson, Don (Fannie) Albrecht; five stepdaughters, Ruth (Don) Rodenbeck, Shirley (Dave) Ritter, Sheryl (Steve) Greiner, Joyce (Paul) Schaufbuch and Julie (Jim) Grosser; eight grandchildren, Jody Kay (Jeff) Vane, Julie A. (Tim) Gootee, Ruth (Doug) Anderson, Jeff (Sarah) Trost, Jason Trost, Kristen (Bill) Dodd, Craig (Lee) Edsill and Steven (Tracy) Edsill; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; many stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: her two husbands; a son, Gary Trost; and a stepson, Duane Albrecht.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or Cedar Valley Hospice.
