WATERLOO - Orlando Buschbom, 97, of Waterloo, formerly of Charles City, died Saturday, Oct. 24, at Allen Hospital of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 15, 1911, in Marshalltown, son of Henry Adam and Amelia Barbara Udhe Buschbom. He married Margaret May Locke on May 29, 1935, in Ackley. She died March 12, 2008.

Mr. Buschbom was employed with the Oliver Corp. in Charles City for 37 years.

Survived by: two sons, Charles Edwin (Karen) of Shelton, Wash., and Robert Ray (Jody) of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two daughters, Shirley Evelyn Hanson and Bernice in infancy; two brothers, Harley and Elwood; and four sisters, Adelia Buschbom, Evelyn Buschbom, Elnora Buschbom and Bernadine Jones.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, State Center. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
