WATERLOO - Donna J. Hansen, 78, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Oct. 24, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born July 7, 1931, in Waterloo, daughter of Edward and Hulda Converse Schneck. She married Vernon "Sonny" Hansen on Jan. 9, 1953, at Westminster Presbyterian Church. He died June 6, 1999.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1949 and from Allen Memorial Hospital Lutheran School of Nursing in 1952. She was a nurse at Rath Packing Co. and Allen Hospital, both in Waterloo, and Fisher Controls in Marshalltown.

Survived by: a brother, Ronald (Ruth Anne) Schneck of Waterloo; and several nephews and nieces.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and for one hour before services on Wednesday at the church. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Cedar Bend Humane Society.
