CEDAR FALLS - Verna E. Vinding, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Western Home Communities Martin Center.

She was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Alden, Minn., daughter of the Rev. J.D. and Christina Nelson Vinding.

She attended high school and college in Cedar Falls. She taught kindergarten in Akron and later was employed as a secretary at the University of Northern Iowa for 12 years, retiring in 1979.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Western Home Communities Chapel, with burial at 1 p.m. Saturday in Benson Cemetery, Benson, Minn. Public visitation for an hour before services Friday at the chapel. Richardson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to First Baptist Church, 701 Church St., Benson, MN 56215; or Bethel College and Seminary, St. Paul, Minn.
