WATERLOO, IOWA - Johnette Olmsted Reed, 96, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, at Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born Aug. 7, 1913, in Waterloo, daughter of John H. and Agusta Pieters Olmsted. She married Francis W. Smith, and he preceded her in death. She married Allen S. "Bud" Reed, and he preceded her in death.

She graduated from East High in 1931. She and her husband owned and operated the Park Road Inn in Waterloo for 38 years.

Survived by: a son, John F. Smith of Waterloo; and a granddaughter.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation for an hour before services.

Memorials: may be directed to the local Humane Society.
