LA PORTE CITY - Joyce A. Lubben, 75, of La Porte City, died Monday, Oct. 12, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center of multiple health conditions.

She was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Big Creek Township, rural La Porte City, daughter of Howard and Mary Hubbard. She was adopted by Wellwood and Ruth Williams. She married Ronald Lubben.

Mrs. Lubben graduated from La Porte City High School in 1951 and also graduated from Gates Business College. She worked as a secretary for the Waverly Hospital. She also had worked as a nurse's aide for the Williams Rest Home in La Porte City.

Survived by: her husband; a son, Rick (Kris) of La Porte City; a daughter, Cindy (Brian) Wright of Jenison, Mich.; and five grandchildren, Tyler, Andrea, Chas, Jaxon and Katie.

Preceded in death by: her parents and adoptive parents; six brothers, Leon, Ronald, Wayne, Keith, Leland and James Hubbard; and a sister, Frances Buck.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at La Porte City Funeral Service, with burial in Sawyer Cemetery, rural La Porte City. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.
