CEDAR FALLS - Leota E. "Otie" Malam Lockman, 94, of Western Home Communities Windhaven, died Monday, Oct. 12.

She was born April 1, 1915, in Northwood, daughter of James S. and Estelle Voss Malam. She married Joseph Lockman in 1950, in Panama City, Panama. He died April 25, 1998.

Mrs. Lockman worked as an accountant/auditor for the U.S. Department of Finance in the Panama Canal Zone from 1949 to 1955. She was then secretary for the National Spiritual Assembly Bahai Faith in Panama from 1963 to 1978.

Survived by: a brother, Bill Malam of Minnetonka, Minn.

Graveside services: were Tuesday in Washington Chapel Cemetery, rural Cedar Falls. Richardson Funeral Home assisted the family.
