WATERLOO - Genevieve R. Hoeg, 90, of Dubuque, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Oct. 1, at Stonehill Franciscan Services, Dubuque.

She was born June 9, 1919, in Minot, N.D. daughter of Earl and Inga Kjareng Penne. She married Lester Hoeg on Aug. 31, 1941, in Lancaster, Mo. He died June 2, 1994.

Mrs. Hoeg graduated in 1937 from Minot High School. She was a member for over 50 years at First Presbyterian Church, Waterloo, and First Presbyterian Women of the Church.

Survived by: two sons, David (Denise) of Dubuque and Dennis (Dawn) of Bay City, Mich.; four grandchildren, Amy, James and Andrew Hoeg, and Ellie (Nick) Hufford; two sisters, Marion Foster of Reinbeck and Elayne (Al) Bishop of Billings, Mont.; a brother, Robert (Una Mae) Penne of Bismark, N.D.; and a special niece, Judy (Bob) Dungan of Plymouth, Minn.

Preceded in death by: two brothers Lloyd and Lavern Penne.

Services: were Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
