WATERLOO - James Craig Stevens, 54, of Huntsville, Texas, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, Sept. 25 in Huntsville.

He was born July 6, 1955, in Cedar Falls, son of Francis and Mariam Stevens. He married Penny Chase in 1979; they were later divorced.

Mr. Stevens worked as a truck driver.

Survived by: his mother, Mariam Kackley, and stepfather, Gerald Brandt of Holland; a daughter, Mellisa Stevens of Waterloo; two grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Mary) of Cedar Falls; and a sister, Cheryl (Clem) Uhde of Eagle River, Alaska.

Preceded in death by: his father; grandparents, John and Adelia Stevens and James and Doris Stanson; a brother, Mark Stevens; and an infant daughter, Jessica.

Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Colfax Center Church, rural Holland.
