CEDAR FALLS - Eric J. Walbaum, 40, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, April 4.

He was born July 6, 1969, in Waterloo, son of Gerald J. and Barbara J. Rekers Walbaum. He was a 1988 graduate of Cedar Falls High School, and earned his associate's degree in 1990 from North Iowa Area Community College, Mason City. Mr. Walbaum was employed with Standard Distributing Co., and later Omega Cabinetry.

Survived by: his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Gordon Ubben of Cedar Falls; a brother, Troy (Sheila) of Cedar Falls; a niece, Jacy of Cedar Falls; two stepbrothers, Mitch (Cindy) Ubben of Castle Rock, Colo., and Bruce (Polly) Ubben of Lincoln, Neb.; and two stepsisters, Gwen (Jeff) Bown and Sara (Mike) Ingamells, both of Lincoln.

Preceded in death by: maternal grandparents, Everett and Marion Rekers; and paternal grandparents, John and Marian Walbaum.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Prairie Lakes Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorial fund: has been established to be designated later.
