Mrs. Elda D. Meier died on Sunday, December 27, 2009, of complications from pneumonia. She was 99 years old.

A long time resident of Waterloo, she lived for the past ten years at Parmly Life Points in Chicago City, MN.

She was born on November 17, 1910, in Bremer County, and married Wernhold Meier of Readlyn, IA, on April 2, 1934.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Ernest Buhr, and her sister Laurena Blasberg.

Surviving her are two daughters, Carol Sonnenberg (Harris) of Lindstrom, MN, and Verlaine Boyd (Michael) of New York City, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
