Mrs. Sarah Dull Died Last Evening
Aged Lady Was Eighty-two Years of Age
Had Been a Resident of the City for Past Six Years—Left Large Family to Murn [sic] Her Passing

Mrs. Sarah Saylor Dull, who lived to the ripe old age of 82 years, 10 months and 5 days died at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 221 West Sixth street. She had been a member of the German Baptist Brethren church since childhood and was an energetic worker and conscientious Christian.

Mrs. Dull was born in Sommerset [sic] county, Pensylvania [sic], January 16, 1829, where she resided until her marriage to John Dull twenty years later. Together with her husband she moved to Black Hawk county in 1855 and settled on a farm in Orange township where she lived until about six years ago when she moved to Waterloo to make her home with her children, her husband passing away May 7, 1907.

Mrs. Dull was the mother of a large family of children, the two oldest of whom died in infancy and two daughters who passed away at the age of nine and thirteen years. The surviving children are: G. W. Dull, Seattle, Wash.; John B. Dull, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Mary M. Nedrow, Davenport, Nebr.; J. D. [Joseph] Dull, Tekoa, Wash., and Mrs. Sarah J. Steel, Waterloo. There are two sisters surviving Mrs. Orin Boucher, Sommerset, Pa., and Mrs. John Speiker, Waterloo. Mrs. Dull was the grandmother of fifteen children and a maternal mother of four children all of whom survive.

Funeral arrangements have not been complete pending the arrival of relatives. Burial will be at the side of her husband and children in the family lot in Orange township.
