Funeral services for Mrs. Calvin L. Peck, 69, died of an unexpected heart attack Thursday at 6 a. m. at her home, 143 Linwood St.

A native of Garrison, Mrs. Peck was born Aletta Lewis Sept. 14, 1884, daughter of Mr. and Mr. Sylvester Lewis. She was married Dec. 23, 1903, at Garrison to Calvin L. Peck.

The couple farmed in Eagle Townsip of Black Hawk county until coming to Waterloo last fall. She was a member of First Brethren church, its Women’s Missionary Society and Center Road Club.

Surviving besides the husband are a son, Melvin G. Peck, Rt. 1, a brother, Albert Lewis of Garrison, a sister, Mrs. Rose Turner of Denver, Colo., and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, one daughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Peck will be Saturday at 2:30 p. m. at First Brethren church with the pastor, the Rev. Spencer Gentle, officiating. Burial will be in Orange Township cemetery. The body will be taken from Parott & Wood Funeral Home to the church at noon.
