WATERLOO - Charlotte Irene Sinnott, age 86, of Waterloo, Blackhawk county, Iowa and formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the Bartels Home, Waverly, Iowa, of natural causes.

She was born July 4, 1922, in Marble Rock, the daughter of Lloyd A. and Della Witter Clay. She married Philip Gaw on Jan. 24, 1943, in Annapolis, Md., he died in August 1944. She married Robert "Bob" Sinnott on Aug. 7, 1948, in Mason City. He died December 8, 2003.

She was employed at Associate Milk Producers for 29 years, retiring in 1985.

Survivors include three sons: Danny of Reno, Nev., Michael (Dalene) of Cedar Rapids and William "Bill" (Shirley) of Waterloo; five grandchildren: Michael Jr., Matthew, Mark (Sarah), Megan and Melissa; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Saug of Mason City and Kathryn Andon of Mason City; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Clay of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Sinnott; and a brother, Max Clay.

Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams Ave., with inurnment in Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery both in Mason City.

Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street in Waterloo is in charge of arrangements.
