Mrs. Charles W. Clos - (Waterloo Courier, Monday September 23, 1929)

Mrs. Charles W. Clos, 35, 529 Dawson street, died at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday in a hosptial at Oakdale from tuberculosis. Mrs. Clos was left in a weakened condition following an attack of influenza in the spring. She was taken to the hospital four months ago.

Pearl Dow was born May 3, 1894, at Decorah, Iowa. She moved with her family to Cedar Rapids, living there about nine years. The family has resided in Waterloo for 11 years.

Deceased was married in 1914 to Charles W. Clos at Waterloo. She was a member of the First Lutheran church and the Woman's Missionary Society there; of the Order of the Eastern Star here; the White Shrine at Cedar Falls and the Temple Rebecca Lodge No. 54.

Surviving her besides her husband are her parents, Mr. & Mrs. W. A. Dow, 427 Bayard St., and five sisters: Mrs. S. J. Smith; Mrs. Frank Haffa; Mrs. Lester Schuetze, Manitowoc, Wis; Mrs. Edward Allison, Waukesha, Wisc; and Mrs. Cecil, Wolverton, Neb.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in First Lutheran church. Rev. Henry Mueller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview.
