Waterloo,Iowa--

Eleanor B. Penne Gardner, 83, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Nov13, at her home of natural causes.

She was born March 17, 1919, in Brandon, the
daughter of Clyde F. Penne and Lydia Louella Clark
Penne. She married John G. Katzman, and they were
later divorced. She then married Guy L. Gardner,
April 5, 1947, in Waterloo. He died August 20, 2002.

Mrs. Gardner retired from Rath Packing Co. after 26 years of employment.

Survived by: two daughters, Sharon K. (Terry L.)Butz and Rosemary (Veryl) Dietz, both of Waterloo; and two brothers, Earl Penne of Cedar Falls and Walter Penne of Hudson, Florida.

Preceded in death by: her parents; her husband;
a brother, Dale Alfred Penne; and a sister, Frances Mary Schrag.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Kerns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and for an hour before the services Saturday at the funeral home.
