Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parrott & Wood chapel for Emil G. Grahlman, 71, of 1214 E. 4th Street, Waterloo, Iowa.

He died at home of a heart attack about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. (09 February 1958)

Mr. Grahlman was born December 1, 1886, in Fayette county, son of Fred and Augusta (Schmudlach) Grahlman. He came to Waterloo 17 years ago, and engaged in general construction work here. Previously he had farmed in Fayette and Bremer counties.

On October 23, 1913, he married Lena Reisner in Hawkeye, Iowa. They were later divorced.

Surviving are two sons, Clayton, Oelwein, Iowa; and Claude, Waukon, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Velma) Ferson and Mrs. Keith (Dorothy) Schlie, Waterloo; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Reisner and Mrs. Opal O'Connell, Fredricksburg, Iowa; and Mrs. Ella Reay, Sumner, Iowa; five brolhers, William and Fritz, Sumner; Ernest, California; Edward, Fredricksburg; and Arthur, Charles City, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

The Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will officiate at the funeral, and burial will be in Fredericksburg.
