John R. Secor
Services for John R. Secor, 77, were held at 11a.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with the Rev. Roy Halverson officiating.
Burial was in the Fairview cemetary.
Mr. Secor died at 2p.m. Sunday at the Allen Memorial Hospital.
He was born March 22, 1890, in Cedar Falls, the son of John and Ann Secor. He married Dorothy Yockstick July 12, 1936, in Austin, Minnesota. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a tool maker for Chamberlain Corporation until his retirement.
Survivors include his widow; four sons; Carrol of Plantation, Florida; Paul of Grandview, Missouri; Kenneth, address unknown; and Wayne of Washburn; three step-sons; Charles Ackerson of Sumner; Keith Ackerson of Waterloo; and Robert Ackerson of Washburn; 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents and first wife.
