Mark T. Crecelius
WATERLOO - Funeral services for Mark T. Crecelius will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Kerns-Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, with burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Oelwein. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel in Waterloo.
Mr. Crecelius, 81, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 17, 1998, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.
He was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Conrad, the son of Charles and Edith P. Dewey Crecelius. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. On Feb. 14, 1945, he married Evelyn Jorgenson at Eldora. The couple lived in Oelwein before moving to Hampton where he worked in shoe sales as manager of the Shoe Box.
Survivors include a stepson, Ed Lenius; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces; one nephew; and a special friend, Helen Field.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn in 1989; and one brother, Dale.
