Charles Mulvehill

WATERLOO - Funeral services for Charles L. "Chuck" Mulvehill will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m., Monday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home, Waterloo, where there will be a 3 p.m. Senior Citizens rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Friends may also call one hour before services at the church Tuesday.

Mr. Mulvehill, 74, died Friday, Feb. 14, 1997, at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, from complications following surgery.

He was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Masonville, the son of Louis and Mary O'Hagan Mulvehill. On May 20, 1959, he married Winifred A. Salz in Waterloo. Mr. Mulvehill attended Loras College, Dubuque and served in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacist's mate on the USS Samaritan. He was employed by Crescent Electric Company until 1963, and then worked as a press operator for Waterloo Industries, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include his wife, Winifred; one son, Michael of Mount Vernon; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; one brother, Paul, and infant twin sisters, Maurene and Ilene Mulvehill.
