WATERLOO - Funeral services for Della Robertson Boyd, formerly of Waterloo and Sumner, will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, at the Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery near Sumner. Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to service time Friday at the Locke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Boyd, 94, died Tuesday, May 26, 1998, at the Cedar Falls Western Home, from natural causes.
She was born May 30, 1903, at Maple Leaf, the daughter of Albert and Mary 0'Brien Lockie. She married Wallace Robertson on June 11, 1923 in Riceville. He died May 25, 1968. She later married Chester Boyd on Jan. 13, 1973 in Waterloo. He died in 1989.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Dilley of Waterloo, and Fae Belschner of Oelwein; a son-in-law, Dale Buehler of Delhi; one stepson, Max Boyd of Hudson; one stepdaughter, Maxine Christensen of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; also several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; a daughter, Beverly Buehler; and an infant son, Robert Robertson.
