DEATH CLAIMS J. ENGLEMAN
PIONEER HERE
John Engleman, 90, died at his home at 510 West Fourth street, at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday of complications resulting from old age. Mr Engleman was born May 16, 1852 in Ausham, Germany. He came to this country alone 74 years ago, at the age of 16.
On September 6th, 1875, he marride Ursulla Myer at Richland, Ill. He has lived most of the time since his marriage in and around Cedar Falls.
Surviving, besides his wife, are five daughters, Mrs. Rose Corwin, 510 West Fourth street, Mrs. Harry Corwin, 1103 College street, Mrs. Joel Corwin, north of Cedar Falls; Mrs. William Lusthoff, 1221 West Third street, and Mrs. L.D. Brown, west of the city; two sons, John of Waterloo, and Lawrence of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. Twenty-three grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church at 9 o'clock with Rev. S.J. Mauer in charge. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cemetery.
