LAWRENCE L.'LARRY' VOSHELL
WATERLOO- Funeral services for Lawrence L. "Larry" Voshell will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 26, at Hammond Avenue Brethren Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Becker-Chapman American Legion Post 138 and V.P.W. Post 1623.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, Waterloo, and for one hour before services at the church Thursday.
Mr. Voshell, 70, died of natural causes Monday, June 23, 1997, at Covenant Medical Center Waterloo.
He was born March 1, 1927, in Arlington, the son of Chancy and Virginia Northrop Voshell. He graduated from Arlington High School and was a Navy World War II veteran. On July 3, 1949, he married Veneeta Mitchell in Waterloo.Mr. Voshell was employed by Repass Auto and Clark Supply, both in Waterloo, as a salesman for 42 years, retiring in 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Verneeta; four daughters, Sharon Roling of Summit, N. J., Joyce Geary of Denver, Diane Waters of Waterloo, and Barb Ackman of Buckingham; three grandchildren; five brothers, Raymond, Boyd "Burdette," Darrel, Leon, all of Waterloo, and Lester of Albuquerque, N.M.; and one sister, Lorna Peterman of Arlington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Delbert, DeWane and Lyle; and two sisters, Maxine Voshell and Violet Nielsen.
Memorials may be directed to the Hammond Avenue Brethren Church.
