Harrison R. Hunt, age 74, veteran railroad conductor of the Illinois Central, died early Sunday morning in St. Francis hospital. He had been a resident of the city since 1865 and entered the employ of the railroad in 1869. After being a conductor for a number of years, running between Waterloo and Lyle, Minn., he retired on account of ill health in 1892.

Mr. Hunt was born in Madison county N. Y., Aug. 22 1847, and came directly to Iowa when as a young man Horace Greeley's urge to go west came upon him at the close of the war. He is survived by two sons, both railroad men, F. A. Hunt, a conductor, and William R. Hunt, in the I. C. shops. A sister Miss Jennie Hunt, also survives. His wife died Nov. 6, 1921.

Funeral services will be at O'Keefe and Towne's chapel tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. C. J. Askins in charge. Interment will be in Fairview.
