Dubuque Daily Times Friday, July 12, 1872, Dubuque, Iowa Page: 1

Samuel Kintsler, aged nine years, while trying to jump on a moving train at Waterloo, for the purpose of getting a ride, was run over, and one leg crushed and horribly mangled. Amputation was of course necessary. His parents were absent at Waverly. We glean from the Waterloo Reporter.
