Page: 2Fire at Waterloo – The school building on the west side, at Waterloo, caught fire last Tuesday evening about 8 o’clock, and was burned to the ground. It had recently been enlarged by the addition of another story at the cost of some $12,000. The estimated loss is about $30,000, insured for $10,000.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is supposedly caused by coal in the basement.
