Last Wednesday afternoon while Owen Fee, of Lincoln Township, while at work in his field, was approached by two men by the name of Leslie and Morrison, who demanded, some money that they claimed he owed them. Mr. Fee told them he would pay them as soon as the receipts could be made out.
A few more weeks were passed when they struck him and knocked him down. He had no recollection what happened for several minutes, being in a senseless condition, but when he came to himself again the villains had robbed him of about one hundred dollars and fled. Mr. Fee got up and attempted to go to the house but had to lie down again.
His family discovered something wrong, went out and got him home, J. J. Royce of this city is after the men. Dr. Van Der Vaart, of Cedar Falls, was sent for immediately, examined him but could find no fracture of the skull or bones broken. Mr. Fee is suffering considerably, but the Doctor thinks he will recover. – Cedar Falls Gazette.
