April 7, 1932"Rate" Force Died Friday
Buried at Wright Cemetery Monday AfternoonEurastus Force, a resident of this city for the past forty years, whose illness was noted in these columns three weeks ago at which time he suffered a paralytic stroke, died on Friday afternoon at the county hospital at Vinton where he has been cared for since stricken with his final illness.
The body was brought to this city and funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Bethany church in charge of Rev. O.C. (Oatrial?). Burial was in the Wright cemetery beside his wife who preceded him in death December 3, 1930.
The deceased was born in Illinois September 9,1860. He farmed south of Chelsea for several years locating in this city in 1892.
A daughter, Mrs. Joe Marino and three grandchildren, all of this city, survive him. One other child, a boy, died in childhood. He leaves also several brothers none of whom could be located at this present time.
