Bret Wayne Bascom, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Bascom, Newhall, died an hour and one-half after birth Sept. 6. Survivors include a brother, Kim Alan, his parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bascom of Newhall and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nelsen, Tipton and great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nelsen of Tripoli, Wis., and Mrs. Cora Hartley, Tipton.

Graveside services were held at Cedar Memorial cemetery Sept. 7. The Rev. Richard Kauppinen of the Presbyterian church at Newhall officiated.
