Celia V. Baldwin (1912-2008)
VINTON -- Celia V. Baldwin, 95, of Vinton, died Wednesday, March 26, at the Vinton Lutheran Home of complications from age.
She was born Nov. 25, 1912, in Macon County, Mo., daughter of Arthur Presley and Marcella Venora Fugate Hall. On July 20, 1929, she married David Olin Baldwin in Macon County. He preceded her in death July 8, 1998.
She was a homemaker and farm wife.
Survived by: a son, Edwin (Beverly) of La Porte City; five daughters, Faye (Bill) Cummings and Nola (Alvin) Lindahl, both of Vinton, Joan (Don) Anders of Newhall, Pat (Larry) Davis of Des Moines and Mardene (Gary) Schulke of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a special friend, Earl Stahr of Vinton; a sister-in-law, Lucille Hall of Macon, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by: three brothers; and two sisters.
Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Russell Funeral Home, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, both in Vinton. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial fund: has been established.
