HEAVY FIRE LOSS AT KEYSTONEA Bank and Large Hardware and Furniture

Keystone, Ia. March 7 – Fire which started in the building occupied by the Farmer’s Savings Bank and a hardware and furniture store, owned by Henry Krohnke, resulted in a loss aggregating nearly $25,000.The losses are distributed as follows: Herman Kronke, loss on building $7,000. Insurance $3,500; Farmer’s Savings Bank, $2,000, no insurance; Thiessen & Hecht, hardware and furniture dealers, $12,000, insurance, $9,000; Augusta Rohleck, on building, $1,500, fully insured; Mr. Krause, loss on shoe shop and household good, $400, no insurance. There were several other smaller individuals losses. The cause of the fire was not learned.
