Larry Joe Beckendorf, 57, of Exira, Iowa died September 25, 2012 at his home in Exira. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Audubon, Iowa. Interment will be in the Exira Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday September 30, 2012 at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira.

Survivors include his wife Jane Beckendorf of Exira, IA; his children: Christian (Alicia) Beckendorf of Grimes, IA; Jennifer (Travis) Brabham of Exira; Trevor Beckendorf of Templeton, IA; five grandchildren; his parents Bobby and Beverly Beckendorf of Walnut, IA; his brothers and sister: Russell (Carla) Beckendorf of Milford, IA; Sherri (Chuck) Hetrick of Maryville, MO; Mark Beckendorf of Johnston, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. ~ The Des Moines (IA) Register Fri 28 Sept 2012.
