LOCALS

Word has been received here of
the death of Mrs. Eli Montgomery
on January 20 at Santa Monica,
California. She was one of the
earliest settlers of this county and
the mother of Mrs. Earl Thomas (Ina Francis Montgomery),
former Exira resident. Funeral
services were held there and burial
was at Pass(Paso) Robles, California.

Note: Parents of Mary Catherine "Kate" Barber were John Knisley Barber and Sarah Elizabeth Harter.
