OBITUARY

Rose Estella Mathis

--------

Rose Estella Mathis, daughter of
Lewis and Mary Winebrenner, was born
December 12, 1881, in West Virginia
and died Wednesday, January 29, 1930
at the age of 48 years, one month and
17 days.

With her parents she came to Guth-
rie county when about five years of
age. She was united in marriage to
Da(v)e Mathis on January 19, 1902, and
to this union five children were born
who, with the husband survive. They
are David and Virgil Mathis, Mrs.
Carl Heckman and Max, all of Guthrie
Center; and Mrs. William Heckman
of Adair. She also leaves to mourn
her loss her aged father and step-
mother, one grandchild, three sisters,
Mrs. Alma Bailey of Oklahoma, Mrs.
Effie Christian of Des Moines, Mrs.
Susie Turner of Atlantic and one half-
brother, Olin Winebrenner.

Funeral services were conducted at
Guthrie Center by the Rev. C. A. Un-
derwood, pastor of the Christian
church and burial was in Union ceme-
tery.

Note: Parents were Ira Lewis Winebrenner and Mary Cooper.
