Mrs. S. Peppers
Died Following
A Long Illness--------
Had Been A Resident of
County Over 50 Years.
Funeral Monday--------
Mrs. Sarah Peppers, wife of the
late Sherman Peppers, died at her
home here Friday night about 7
o'clock. Death was due to bronchi-
al pneumonia and complications.
Mrs. Peppers had been ill since
November.She was born August 14, 1866,
in Owen county, Indiana, and came
to Audubon county with her par-
ents when 18 years of age. Her
maiden name was Duling.Mrs. Peppers spent all her mar-
ried life on a farm in Greeley
township, moving to Exira in 1915
a year after the death of her hus-
band.Surviving are three children,
Myrtle, at home; W. E. Peppers,
local insurance salesman, and Lona
R. Peppers, farmer near this place.
She also leaves to mourn her pass-
ing a sister, Mrs. Lew Fiscus of
Kirkman; three brothers, Tom
Duling of Kirkman, Eli Duling of
Ft. Morgan, Colorado, and Will
Duling of Worthing, Indiana, and
a number of grandchildren.Funeral services were held at
the Christian church at 1:30 Mon-
day afternoon with the Rev. O. C.
Huff in charge assisted by the
Rev. J. Otis Smith. Burial was in
the Exira cemetery.
