FORMER EXIRA GIRL
DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Remains of Mrs. Harvey Thompson
Will Arrive Here Tomorrow and
Funeral Will be Saturday

Mr. and Mrs. George Dimick receiv-
(ed) word Monday morning of the death of
their daughter, Mrs. Harvey Thomp-
son, at her home in Modesto, Calif.
Details concerning the death are not
known at this time excepting than
that it occurred Sunday night.

The remains will arrive in Exira
tomorrow and funeral services will
be held Saturday afternoon at two
o'oclock at the Federated church with
Rev. Wissler in charge. Burial will
be in Exira cemetery.

Arleta Dimick Thompson was born
near Exira March 23, 1902, and grew
to womanhood in this community.
Following her marriage to Harvey
Thompson they moved to Modesto,
California, to make their home.

Besides the parents she is survived
by her husband and three brothers,
Gaylord, Harold and Carl Dimick.

OBITUARY
FRANCES ARLETA THOMPSON

Frances Arleta Dimick Thompson
was born in Exira on March 23, 1902,
and passed away at Modesto, Calif.,
on May 2, 1926, aged twenty-four
years, one month and nine days.

The deceased moved with her par-
ents to Oklahoma when but a child
and they resided there eleven years.
Upon their return to this place she
attended the public schools here and
was graduated in 1921. Following
her graduation she was a teacher in
the rural schools of this county.

She was married to Harvey Thomp-
son at Fresno, California, on June 29,
1921, and the couple went to Modesto,
where they had their home.

She leaves to mourn her loss the
parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Dimick,
of this place; the husband Harvey
Thompson, Modesto, Calif.; and three
brothers, Gaylord, Harold and Carl
Dimick, of Exira.

Funeral services were held Satur-
day afternoon, May 8, from the Fed-
erated church with Rev. Wissler in
charge. Burial was in Exira cemetery.
