pneumonia at his home in Oakfield.
His many friends hope for an im-
provement of his condition soon. Mrs.
Omar Jacobs of Atlantic is caring for

BRAYTON MAN DIES
AFTER SHORT ILLNESS--------
Clyde L. Freeman passed away last
Saturday at his home in Oakfield,
following an illness of ten days with
pneumonia.Deceased was born in Oakfield on
August 31, 1889. October 19, 1910, he
was united in marriage to Miss Olive
Barham in 1911, and to this union
were born a daughter, Doris, and a
son, James, who with his wife sur-
vive him.Mr. Freeman spent practically his
whole life in the vicinity of Brayton,
with the exception of two years in
Oregon and one year in Canada. For
the most part of this time he had been
engaged in business in Brayton. He
was a man of robust health until he
fell a victim of the flu which develop-
ed into pneumonia and resulted in his
death.He also leaves to mourn his loss his
mother, Mrs. Cora Freeman, and
three brothers, Percy of Persia, Ia;
Floyd and Vergyl of Brayton vicinity;
five sisters, Mrs. Ray Leonard of
Hancock, Ia.; Mrs. George Hardwick
and Mrs. Edson Herrick of Brayton;
Mrs. Jack Temple of Atlantic and
Mrs. Lester Hansen of Omaha.He was a devoted husband and fath-
er and one who had many friends be-
cause of his cheerful disposition. He
will be missed by all who knew him.Funeral services were held Wed-
nesday afternoon at two o'clock from
the Brayton Baptist church conducted
by Rev. A. Rust. Burial was in Oak-
