Little Girl Dies
Following Operation

Donn Elda, little daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Erwin Wheeler, died Mon-
day at the Audubon hospital.
Death was due to appendicitis for
relief of which an operation was
performed Saturday. The appen-
dix had bursted and gangrene set
in at the time the operation was
performed and she passed away at
8:30 in the evening two days after
the operation.

Donn Elda was born in Audubon
township, eight miles southeast of
Exira, on April 19, 1921. She had
always been in good health until
the fatal attack of illness.

She leaves to mourn her loss
the parents, one brother, Leonard (1926-1978),
her grandmother, Mrs. Clara (Barchard)
Wheeler (1865-1947), and many other relatives
and friends.

Funeral services were held at
the Exira Church of Christ at two
o'clock this afternoon with the Rev.
A. G. Whittier in charge. Burial
was made in Exira cemetery.

Note: Her parents were Vivian Erwin Wheeler (1900-1957) and Marie Bengard (1899-1991).
