PIONEER RESIDENT OF COUN-
TY PASSED AWAY NEAR HERE

Mrs. Marie Hansen, widow of the
late Hans P. Hansen who died three
years ago, passed away at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Ander-
son, near this place (Exira), last Wednesday.
The deceased was about seventy years
of age and had been a resident of this
county for forty years, coming direct-
ly here from Denmark the place of
her birth.

She is survived by two daughters,
Mrs. Thomas Anderson and Mrs. E.
Jensen of near Audubon; four sons,
Carl Hansen of Carrollton; Axel of
Omaha; Hans of Aurora, Neb., and
Laurids Hansen of this place.

Funeral services were held at the
Anderson home Sunday afternoon at
two o'clock, conducted by Rev. Jor-
gensen of the Lutheran church at
Kimballton. Burial was made in St.
John's cemetery west of town.
