DEATH CLAIMS BELOVED
ELK HORN PASTOR
------------
Rev. N. J. Bing Passes Away at an
Omaha Hospital After Long
Illness
------------

The Rev. N. J. Bing, affectionately
known to hundreds who loved him as
"Pastor" Bing, for the last five years
and more pastor of the Danish Luth-
eran church at Elk Horn, died at noon
Sunday at Emmanuel hospital, Oma-
ha, after an illness of about ten
months' duration with bladder trouble
and complication of anemia. He has
been in the hospital for the past six
months and had made a valiant fight
but grew steadily worse. His wife,
his daughter, Miss Agnes, a nurse at
the hospital, and his son, Dr. Clarence
Bing, a dentist of Racine, Wis., were
at his bedside when he passed away.
He was 52 years of age.

Rev. Bing was born in Denmark
and for many years was located at
Racine, Wis., coming to Elk Horn be-
tween five and six years ago. He
was a man of great ability and had a
wide reputation.

Besides the two children who sur-
vive Rev. and Mrs. Bing had one other
son, Raymond, who died at Racine,
Wis., just prior to going overseas for
service in the world war.

The beloved pastor will be laid to
rest beside the deceased son, the re-
mains being shipped to Racine fol-
lowing a service at the Elk Horn
Danish church at 12:30 yesterday
afternoon.
