OBITURY MRS EVA
McCLAIN DIED IN EXIRA

Eva, daughter of Silas and Nancy (Williams)
Parrott, was born in Worthington,
Iowa, Dec. 3, 1861, and died at
her home in Exira, Dec. 22, 1915,
at the aeg of 54 years 19 days.
She was the last member of her
--ther's family, and had been in
--d nearly one year, the victim
of a painful and tedious disease.

She came with her parents to
Audubon County in 1868, and was
united in marriage with Geo. W.
McClain, Aug. 24, 1888.

Mrs. McClain was the mother of
eight children, one of whom died
-- early infancy. The remaining sev-
en were with the mother at the
time of her death. These are,
Clyde of Centralia, Washington,
Wade of Los Angelos, and Mrs.
----R. Terhune, Earl, Gail, Beulah
and Thelma McClain of Exira.

During the long months of her
----ng illess, Mrs. McClain had
the sympathy of a large cir-
cle of friends and asquaintances,
and this is now extended to the
children who cared for her tender-
ly and are now bereaved by her
death.

Brief funeral services were con-
ducted at the home on Friday
afernoon by the pastor of the
Congregational church. Rev. Link-
letter offered prayer, and a quar-
tet, Messr Bush and Harned,
---es Lena Eckles and Carrie
---rsen with Mrs. Verna Egbert
on the piano, sang sweetly four
----ns.

There were many beautiful flow-
ers and interment was made in
the Exira cemetery.

Nancy J. Williams. She married (1) George W. McClain August 24, 1888 in Audubon, Iowa. He was born May 1865 in Illinois.

3. Nancy J. Williams, born March 10, 1830 in Ohio; died April 11, 1896 in Exira, Audubon, Iowa. She was the daughter of 6. Charles Williams and 7. Mary A. ???.
