OBITUARY OF BRAYTON RESIDENTBehrend Hansen Christensen was born in Denmark November 19th, 1832. He was married to Kahren Hansen in June 1860. In 1869 they came to the United States and located at Davenport, Iowa. In 1875 they moved to a farm near Jacksonville, Iowa, and in 1876 they moved to their farm west of Brayton, where they resided until 1914 when they moved to their home at Brayton, Iowa.
During the last three years of his life, Mr. Christensen was entirely blind but enjoyed good health until about ten days before his death, he was taken ill with a cold and heart trouble which caused his death.
He is survived by his widow and four children, P. M. Christensen and Mrs. J. K. VandeBrake of Exira, Andrew on the home farm and Chris at home, and eight grandchildren.
