Jan. 15, 1925, pg. 1MRS. J. F. RUSSELL DEAD
The many friends in Audubon
were pained to learn last week of
the death of Mrs. J. F. Russell,
which occurred at her home in Pas-
adena, Calif., on Monday night, Jan.
5th. Only a few days before she
had written several letters and
cards to former friends and word
of her death was almost unbe-
lievable. As nearly as we can learn the
facts Mrs. Russell suffered from
burns the early part of November,
but her condition gradually improv-
ed until a few days before her death
when infection resulted from kid-
ney trouble and rendered her uncon-
scious. Funeral services were held
at Pasadena on Jan. 8th. The hus-
band, one son, George and one
daughter, Gertrude survive.Mr. Russell and his family lived
in Audubon many years ago being en-
gaged in the mercantile business un-
til sixteen years ago when they
moved to Ft. Dodge. Two years ago
they sold out and left for California.
On their way out they stopped in
Audubon several days and made the
trip overland in a covered wagon.Note: Clara BURDICK was born 19 JUL 1865 in Sterling, Whiteside Co, Illinois, and died 5 JAN 1925 in Pasadena, Los Angeles Co, CA. She was the daughter of Joel E.
