Wedding Bells.

One of the happy events of the
season was enjoyed at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. James Martin, in Au-
dubon township, on Wednesday
June 12, 1901, the occasion being the
marriage of their daughter, Miss
Winifred Martin, to Mr. Francis W.
Ridegly. Neighbors and friends
had gathered at the Martin home
to the number of forty five where
all were happy and the hour from
eleven till twelve o'clock was spent
in games and a general good time.
At twelve o'clock all assembled in
the parlor and the happy couple
marched into the room preceded by
the brides' brother, Mr. John Martin,
and Miss Minnie Littlefield and the
groom's sister, Miss Gertrude Ridg-
ey, and Mr. Ad. Watterson when
Rev. H. L. Wissler spoke the
words that made them husband
and wife. After congratulations and
many good wishes all sat down to a
well loaded table of good things.

These worthy young people need
no introduction to the people of
Exira and vicinity. Mr. Ridgley is
a young man who has grown to
manhood in our midst, having spent
the past sixteen years in Greeley
township where by strict attention
to business and good business
methods has secured for himself
one of the best farms in Greeley
township, with a fine new house
and it well furnished to receiv(e) his
happy bride. Miss Martin, too, is
well known to all, having grown to
womanhood in Audubon township
and is in every way calculated to be
the mistress of a happy home. We
predict for this couple a happy and
prosperous journey through life.
Many valuable presents were left
as tokens of love and good wishes.
Following is a list of those present:
