Murder Near Aubudon
~
Audubon, Jan. 3 – The body of Lars Alexson. A wealthy Dane farmer living alone five miles west of Exira, was found on his premises between the house and the barn, with his head crushed in, apparently with the blunt end of an ax, the whole back of his skull being crushed. The coroner’s verdict is that he came to his death in the hands of an unknown person and undoubtedly murdered, as his hat was found ten feet from his body, indicating a struggle. No motive can be ascribed.
