Exira News.

Robert Burns Basham was in
Exira when he was a wee sma' lad,
and always lived her till a few
years ago when he went to Des
Moines to work with his brother,
Lester. Last Saturday he was mar-
ried to Miss Edith Griffith, a pretty
and accomplished young lady of
that city, and the same evening the
happy couple arrived in Exira to
pass a day or two with his sister,
Mrs. N. P. Christensen, of this city,
and his other relatives, the I. P.
Hallock and D. W. Powers families,
at Oakfield and Brayton. We were
all glad to see Burns and his bonny
bride and wish them all the health
and happiness vouchsafed to us
poor mortals here below.

Note: Parents of Robert Burns Basham were Joel Hardin Basham and Sarah Melissa Hallock.
