NEARLY BLINDED
BY LADIES HAT PIN

While leaving the church last
Sunday after the funeral service
of the late William VanAernam, Mr.
Mike Simersen received a scratch
over the sight of one of his eyes
from the protruding point of a
ladys hat pin as she passed him
by, from the effect of which he
has been laid up all week and in
constant pain night and day.

This is a serious matter to Mr.
Simersen for it means that his
team must also remain idle during
his forced inactivity. The damage
to him is very great.

Note: Parents of Marinus “Mike” Simonsen were Simon and Sophia Amalia "Emily" Simonsen, of Danish descent.
