WILSON--BAIER WEDDING

-------

Mr. Claus Chas Wilson and Miss
Bertha Wilhelmina Baier were unit-
ed in marriage at the home of the
bride's mother, Mrs. Fred Baier
three miles east of Exira, on Jan-
uary 1st., 1916 at 6 o'clock p. m.

Rev. Cox of the M. E. Church
of Exira performerd the ceremony
which united the happy couple.
Only the relatives of the contract-
ing party were there to witness
the union.

Promptly at six o'clock Mrs.
Dolph Fate presided at the piano
accompanied by her husband with a
violin played the lovely strains of
the happy holiday march, while the
bride groom and attendence took
their place in the beautiful parlor
decorated with fern and lace.

Miss Evalina Baier and Mr.
Frederick Baier sister and brother
of the bride acted as bridesmaid
and best man.

The bride was gowned in white
satin trim(m)ed in shadow lace and
orange blossoms. The groom wore a
blue serge suit.
After the ceremony and congratula-
tions, all partook of a bounteous
wedding supper.

Neither bride or groom need an
introduction as they are both well
known here. The groom is the
youngest son of Chas Wilson and
wife of Greeley township. He is a
examplary young man and an i-
deal f(a)rmer well worthy of his
choice for life.

They will go to house-keeping on
a farm in Greeley township. Their
many friends wish them a long
life, happiness and success.

Note: Parent of Bertha Wilhelmina "Bertie" Baier were Christian Friedrich "Fred" Baier and Katherine "Katie" Aupperle.
Parents of Claus Chas Wilson were Charles R. Wilson and Florinda "Flora" Campbell.
